As a twelve-year-old, I watched Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom, not taking my eyes off the screen for a second. Convinced it was the finest film ever made (I was twelve), I watched ’the making of,’ and marveled at the matte painters painstakingly draw Indy frame by frame over the rope bridge. It looked impossibly arduous. I had found my calling.
I have been incredibly fortunate to work in production and post around the world for the past eighteen years, learning still every day. My experience includes editing and finishing for promos, commercials, shows and features for clients such as HBO, Netflix, AMC, Discovery, National Geographic, Christian Dior, Marc Jacobs, and many others. I have had the honor of working with extraordinary directors to color films like the Academy Award Nominated documentary The Square, Maiden Trip, Child of God and Anesthesia, and as part of the finishing team for Ang Lee’s forthcoming film Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk.
I have worked through every stage of creating film, and have produced and directed shows across four continents. My understanding of the post pipeline spans from offline editorial and crafting a story to VFX, color, finishing and delivery. This versatility allows me to jump into a process where I’m needed, and has afforded me the perspective to continually strengthen and hone my skills. My ideal project is one where I’m surrounded by people that are smarter than me; I like to learn. My ideal role is among friends and mentors—individuals who are equally passionate and dedicated to film.
